I have a 1979 pre-serp RV8 in my westfield. I have bottomed it out to the point that the sump is cracked and leaking. Which Rover V8 sumps will fit my engine? Will any of the Discovery ones fit?
I need cheap ones as they seem to be a consumable in low ride cars.
Thanks in advance.

New Ignition Options?
In my Westfield I currently have a Mallory Dual Point dizzy fitted to my Edelbrock carbed 3.5 RV8. It runs great however I can see problems down the road with points.
What options do I have to go pointless? I really want something plug and play with little or no wiring changes.

Need Someone to do Some Work! Cash Waiting
Ok, My Westfieild car is now on the road after a long three year build but a few snags have manifested themselves which require attention. My main problem is that I do contract work and am away from home five days a week. My wife would not appreciate me coming home on Friday night then going out to ...

Ok Chaps I have a RV8 3.5 in a Westfield. It has a piper 270 cam and an Edelbrock 500 carb. I gave it to Janspeed in Salisbury to play with and to be fair it goes like the clappers however it goes through way too much fuel. I've worked it out to be between 10 - 15 mpg and that's driving it conservat...

Header/Expansion tank setup
Can you tell me how the plumbing for a header tank differs from the plumbing to an expansion tank?
I feel I need an expansion tank setup as it is physically impossible to have the tank higher than the heater matrix in the Westfield.
My engine setup is a RV8 3.5, offy manifold, edelbrock carb

Ok 3.5 standard build ish RV8 in a Westfield with revotech adjustable fan controller. 74 degree thermostat OK I've finally got the fan controller working (Electrical Numpty) The fan cuts in at about 80 degrees (on the guage) however the fan does'nt seem to cool the water in fact the temp gauge conti...

I've sussed the fan controller problem. I had wired it in correctly however my 12 volt source came from the Westfield loom. What I did'nt realise was the loom had it's own relay so my 12 volts wasn't available until the first relay was energised. Fixed by removing the relay and bridging the connecti...

I'ts a standard 3.5 RV8 fitted in a westfield. I think the question i'm asking is could it be from anywhere under the manifold? If it's not then I think I can live with it temporarily until I can definitely tell where it's coming from. I'm at the stage where I'm looking closely at the cooling system...

Water pooling on valley gasket
As the subject says but there doesn't seem to be a pipe leak. The manifold and gasket are new and I think I torqued the manifold bolts to 35 lbft.
Any other ideas?
