yes i fitted a new gasket, i also thought the sump looked dented a little so i cut cut three chunks out of the sides of the gauze carrier part of the pick up pipe, im also thinking maybe its sucking air somewhere

cant be the pump cover ive changed that as well and its not the priming tool

sd1 era the thing is i had this timing cover on my last engine and it worked great

if i prime the pump with the rockers off it will bring the oil up but it spits it out rather than flow out

ok ive been on all day now with it and still no further on ive had the sump off, put a new oil pipe gasket on, even took the rockers off and blew an airline down the oil holes, i could hear the oil bubbling in the sump and it was turning the pump. here is a daft idea ive used a 4.6 timing cover gask...

ive been using an air drill with variable speed im using 15/40 oil should the pump still pick this up ok?

ive tried turning slow and fast but nothing

im turning the pump clockwise, it has a gasket but it wasnt a new one but it looked ok could this be my problem?

no oil pressure at all, used priming tool but its picking up nothing, checked the relief valve and its free, packed the oil pump with vaseline nothing, so i changed the oil filter housing and packed the pump again and nothing could it be as simple as a knackered oil pick up gasket.i have an sd1 sump...

any body ran a nos system without a purge valve? is it a bugger to bleed the nos through with out one ? how liong does the nos take to come through once youve nailed it

i have an edelbrock performer on my car and the spade has snapped off the end, is an sd1 unit the same fitment

just painted the inside of the car a minging shade of green but its going back to black

so what about cars that were built before sva do they need examining again?
