Cometic oil leak before engine run

Hi. I do not know what to do. I just rebuild my 5.2L Rover V8. I bought some cometic 96mm head gasket and just fit those. So i fit rocker shaft´s etc, spill some 15w50 Castrol motor oil with rockers, let car stand couple of days. Today i go to underneath car and i notice some oil drip with head/bloc...

I suspect that the oil is leaking from the valley across the block deck and out of the side of the engine. My engine does it very slightly with standard composite gaskets. In my mind your problem is with engine magnament system, not trumbet base..
Maybe VR-sensor desync problem or lean/rich spike on fuel map??

I bought mine from John Eales..

He is selling bronze guides, they will need finishing hone to get valves in. Also he has got STD guides, but those have got slightly bigger hole. 8mm stem, but not sure after installation if it is slightly smaller.?

Yes i measure those clearances.. If use Grant rings, 1rst ring clearance is 0.04-0.05mm in all 8 pistons. And 2nd ring has got 0.03mm.. I have got a steel spacer´s + small Wurth bearing/valve spring shim´s between rocker arm and spacer.. You might see those if look presice..
Clearance approx 0.4mm.. Those shim´s are hard and they will imitate bearing´s..

If you want to rev engine high rpm, then YES, but if mild road use, then no..

I use Harland rockers on my RV8 and i use tube spacers..

There must be somethink really really wrong that engine.. I understand H404 cam is quite wild. Very poor idle, very poor drive ability, good mid range, excellent bhp.. Not for 100% sure.. But we think they are from Toyota 2T..

And Alan, my 5.2l give similar torque curve, but only 20Nm more than "Vizard" engine..
