I'm running a 5.7 twin turbo in a Dakar (RR classic) and there's a defender running a 7.6L Big block: http://mez.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=793 also one with a 5.7 chevy engine + eagle 383stoker kit, total edelbrock top end with big valve heads, 600 carb, roller rockers etc 380bhp and 450lbs torque.

thats an early interim block - later ones only had 10 bolts. both use 28cc heads with comp gaskets I have an interim 38D in my Range Rover Classic, cross bolt pads, with no bolts and non crossbolt main bearing clamps. No idea Dave, I did it on a 4.7 (bored 4.6!). Reckon there was a lot more grunt at low rpm's which was what I wanted as it was in a 4-speed auto 110 weighing 3.4 tons! It seemed to run out of steam at around 4400rpm but that could have been cam choice as much as anything I reckon. I fancy trying a ...

get in on a rolling road to set it up and you may see more and get an accurate reading of power.
