I bought a set of Yella Terras late last year for $850 Australian, from AmericanAutos.com.au. The cost was pretty similar to V8 Tuner's (ex VAT) but shipping would have been expensive (it always is ex-UK). My advice would be to phone suppliers rather than email them, as emails can be ignored or over...

There's nothing wrong with the Rover V8, although it lack's a Stag's revvy nature and exhaust note (A result of exhaust manifold design). Hopefully your car's had softer front springs fitted with its engine, or it'll be nose-up. The Stag engine can be made reliable if you find one without corrosion ...

I've tried to find anyone selling these for the Rover too, without success. The best way will probably be to measure the thickness of standard rings and then order some suitable ones from Total Seal in the States. So to repeat Paul's question, does any parts suplier - V8 Developments, LS1, RPI even,...

The main reason for the high-revving parts is that they're stronger than factory parts. The Crower camshaft has higher lift than standard, and given the Rover's penchant for wearing cam lobes, I want it to last. Of course stronger parts don't necessarily reduce wear. Des Hammill's book is great read...

Valve springs, retainers and rocker shafts
I'm sorting out my 3.5's valvetrain at the moment, and need some advice. Firstly rocker shafts - I've rebuilt a few Triumph engines, and most of their aftermarket rocker shafts are rubbish, made of soft metal and wearing rapidly. Is there a similar problem with any Rover V8 shafts? I'm using Yella T...

...I almost demolished my engine due to excessive chain and sproket wear, With a bit of investigating we have made an educated guess as to what happened,---- The chain was worn enough to be able to climb a tooth on over run, enough to break off a tip o of a tooth, which just happend to be the tooth...

Re: 4.6 block
I have got the chance of a 4.6 block crank and pistons with the front cover as well, it was took out of a RR cos it was porous I am wondering if it is possible to replace the liners and rebuild it using my old 3.5 HC as a parts donor. I am sure though that I wont be able to use the heads. Mike, fit...

Pumps, the eternal conundrum
I know this question's been asked before in various ways - I'd like to know what brand of low-pressure (ie carburettor) fuel pumps people here swear by, or at. I've been reading comments on various forums (including this one) on Facet pumps, Holley red/blue, Carter... for each you can find some peop...
