Mainly the MAF, I'd probably replace it with a air temperature sensor if I ran a MS2

Thanks for confirming Garry, where can get a 4.6 crank/conrods for a good price new/used?

What parts would you recommend to manage the ignition?

Ideally I would like to run it on EFi:
Would it be a massive pain to keep the 4.0 EFi?
Would I be better using the EFi off the 3.5?
Webber 500?

RV8 3.5 > 4.6 + stroker advice

Hi all, I'm after some advice, I want to build a 4.6 to go into a Defender but ideally I want to avoid all the 4.6 electrics sensors...etc as it's going onto a comp safari racer which will have some rough and tumble. I have a 4.0 P38 and 3.5 EFi RRC which are laid up, so I can take parts off them? W...

RV8 for a 4.0 1996 P38?

Our P38s RV8 has given up the ghost, looks like a cracked block unfortunately at 150k miles so we can't complain! Which RV8 will slot straight in since we've been told that earlier 3.5, 3.9 won't fit all the ancilleries due to engine casting differences/sepentine belt? If I wanted to buy a reconditi...

I suppose the value is in the oil ways and the lightening/balencing, I just don't know how much it's actually worth without the heads/cam?

A good 3.9 is about 500 on ebay?

Would I be able to slap the heads/EFi off a 4.6 straight onto this to get it up and running?

Do you think it's worth the cashola?

this thread http://www.kelsey-forums.co.uk/cgi-bin/ ... 1213894033 states that these guys do the kit http://www.eapj.com/ but it isn't advertised?

Are they the people you're talking about?

Apparently you can run it on megasquirt, but I imagine the loom is a bit of a nightmare :/ and would it be able to control the VVT?

Any ideas on suitable gearboxes for a kit car application for instance?

oooo! (L322 Supercharged engine)

I've just seen this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 2759.l1259

I take it this would be an utter bastard to fit into a classic range rover due to transmission compatibility?

Just wondering, is there anyway to check if a liner has slipped without the engine running or is it easily visible?

Q: Hi, 4275cc seems odd. I thought the 4.2 LSE used a 4197cc engine? Any reason why this might be? Thx, Mark 06-Jan-10 A: Hi, I'm not sure now. I always thought it was stange that they called it a 4.2 , 4275cc would basically mean it should be a 4.3 LSE. DVLA record the capacity as 4275cc for the LS...

Sorry yeah, I want a used one, don't want to pay loads of money, my 3.5 efi is making a funny noise so I want a back up, preferably something more powerful ;) 3.9 or 4.2 sounds good, would prefer a 4.2!
