Ramon i tried adding a spring to the centre spindle today and bingo no hang up, it sat at 800 rpm with no drama- ill play around with this idea and see what happens.

Wotland, i tried J E unfortunately he doesn't stock them anymore, he guessed around £900 to make a new one

No the stepper has been added although a couple of checks today and it seems a bit inconsistant when cycling through the ignition by the key.

Could this be as simple as a stepper motor issue? Get it warmed up and then just unplug the stepper motor to see if that is causing the problem? Nothing happens when i disconnect it :? is this right?
