3.9 Hotwire full throttle misfire
Engine starts and idles o.k. Runs well initially Car will pull steadily but open the throttle fully and it loses all power, misfires (?) untill you come back off the throttle. After the car's run for a while it cuts out and dies, leave it a while (cools down ? ) it'll start and I can drive off New 8...

Distributor air pipes
On my 3.9 EFI I've got a round metal disc attached to the dizzy( next to the thermostate housing ), believe this is for the air pipes One pipe comes from the throttle body, which side should that go on ? Should I have a pipe on the other side of the unit? If not should this be left open or blanked o...

Sealing oil pump cover RV8
Replaced the oil pump gears but I'm having trouble getting the Mocal take off plate ( for remote oil filter ) to seal.
Fitted a new gasket with a light smear of sealer, but it's still leaking oil between two of the fixing bolts
Is there a trick to getting these to seal ?

Just been looking on the internet to order new oil pump gears, came across a problem. I'm running my old P6 front chest and remote filter from my old 3.5 engine, now I find there are different length gears, and ends(dizzy drive) The gear dizzy drive I have is male, fits straight into my new 3.9 dizz...

Low oil pressure on rebuilt engine
Started to run the cam in on my 3.9 v8 rebuild When it's up to temp, running 2000 rpm, oil pressure reads around 25psi, we let it idle and pressure drops to virtualy nothing, but the oil light didn't come on. No horrible noise from the engine, but I should have more oil pressure, surely Where to sta...

3.9 coolant leak
rebuilt 3.9 v8, ready to be run up.
slight coolant leak from gasket /head running down onto the block under no 1 cylinder.
Tried a short bolt in outer (unused ) bolt hole, no difference.
Any ideas or is it a strip down and new gasket ?
