Now converted to gas and since the installation the fan hasn't cut in again! Keeping quiet and certainly out of earshot of the car but it all seems to be working!

I have read the fan has a thermal switch (i would guess in the rad) although my local garage assu...

3.9 plenum on a 3.5?

Is there any benefit from fitting a 3.9 plenum on a 3.5 engine, is there any difference at all?

Engine number - please help, I may be buying it soon.

camshaft

I am looking to get a little more oomph from my stock 3.9 EFi (LPG) which currently sits in a defender. It would appear there are 3 companies that offer a warmer cam to suit a stock engine and i would guess they are close in terms of performance etc. Is there a preference for one over the others out...

Which way is it likely to affect them, I am hoping they would be lower if the cylinder wasn't breathing so well - but by how much?

Compression test results

Concerned about a lack of power in my 3.9 EFI defender i carried out a compression test yesterday and got reasdings from 130 - 140 across all cylinders which seem a bit down on what i was expecting. While testing i also forgot to have the throttle full open, will this have affected my figures by much?
