No!
I dont freeze my small bottles. Especially not Trevs ones Laughing

Its easy to gravity fill an empty from a big one with no hassles apart fdrom the fact you need to invert the big bottle and make a stand for it Smile

As Mike says, you can also heat the big bottle to help.
Sometimes you can do this trackside. Heres one of my crew doing the propane assist technique I taught him Laughing Laughing
Notice the scorchd grass. There is a reason for this??

Its so we can leave our TAG for others to see. WON woz ere' Laughing Shocked Laughing

Hi Perry
I like his style, cool as they come, top bloke!
Actually it is safer to heat the bottle rather than cool it, steels have a temperatire below which they go brittle, it depends on the alloy but it is generally aroung 3-4 C where their resistance to cracking dropps off very quickly.
My Dad used to do it with Propane bottles with his Tourch as he worked to keep the bottle pressure up while he was brazing big stuff, used to scare my sister silly Laughing Twisted Evil Laughing .
Best regards
Mike
