The TR7 SHOULD run a 10 off gas or pretty close to it Tricky!!!
I've now seen how she performs mate. That engine build of yours is just too much for those small slicks mate. Your Rover V8 engine picks up and revs like a motorbike engine. You need to damp out that quick response with bigger rear slicks so you can make better use of that high revving power and convert it into more mph so you can make a better charge after the 1/8th mile marker!
Just need to get some different tyres on the back end and fit those coil spring bump stops fitted mate.
If we can use simple stuff to limit body roll and keep the front left wheel on the ground I think we should be there Dude!!
And we need to sort out the line lock issue so we can do a decent burnout too??

Hi Perry
Engine is so on song at last ,,that new exhaust has made loads of difference in the way she revs
I think your right about the mods to rear suspension and different tyres
Ive been out on the road with her and cant keep her in a straight line when i put the power down she just goes side ways so am going to fab up a rear panard rod to sort that out
Who ever said Rovers V8s are Crap
I remember Will at PPC magazine got that one wrong didn't he

Hi Ian
i so run out of time to build my new engine mounts so i cut some 3mm plate and welded up the stanard mounts soild
They worked fine all weekend, but will change them over the winter rebuild, will still bolt the engine in soild not worried about vibration just want the engine to stay there
Loads i want to change inc gearbox my Lt77 gearbox they are only lasting 1 event

1/8 7.59.........................This should be 6.9 to 7 seconds.
1/8 86.35 mph................This should be 100mph +
1000 ft et 9.689
1/4 11.58 at 123 mph....Then this will be 10.99 @ 126 mph I reckon

I reckon you lost nearly a second with bad traction launches and running out of gears with those small rear tyres!!
If you dont believe me, check out the slow mo vids of the TR7 mate
And when the tyres hooked a little this happened:)
