hotwire efi manifold - adding heater pipe underneath

Post by Seight-V8 »

hiya all,

Gonna be adding a hotwire manifold to my westfield seight over the winter.

Just sorting the inlet manifold out.

Notice on the hotwire that the heater pipes bypass the underneath of the manifold.

My present flapper system has them underneath and i would like to keep it like this.

Has anyone modded a hotwire manifold to take the underneath pipes.

This would involve drilling/tapping the back on the inlet that comes from the top of the water pump.

Dont want to have to ditch my heater, or run the pipes around the rocker covers.

any thoughts

thanks

scott

i did my hotwire this way. i removed the pipe from the flapper manifold, drilled and tapped the hotwire one to suit and fitted the pipe.

I could be wrong, but I would try just fitting the bottom part of the manifold from a flapper, and the top part and ancillaries from a hotwire. A pic & mix if you will.

Chris.

if im correct the reason i never did this because the injectors are different and the hotwire ones didnt fit the flapper manifold,
