Thermostat For Heavy Defender 110

As title. Should i use a 74 or 82 thermostat on a 4.6 110?

I would use an 82. Provided the radiator is big enough, which the standard rad should be, you'll be fine.

I work on the basis that car manufacturers design their vehicles to tow heavy trailers in Saudi Arabia. So they'll be fine over here with our climate with a fair margin.

yep its not the stat that makes it overheat unless its broken its an undersized or clogged old radiator.

I'm using a rad supplied by http://www.gm-radiator.com/ in my Disco 3.9 EFI so far so good, keep the temp very steady in all conditions.
