Hi All,
I'm looking for some help here.
My V8 Minor has been on the road for some time now and the front coil-overs used to have about 2 inches of travel.
However checking it over earlier in the week the front of the car is now virtually sitting on the bump-stops AND I would like to lower it a tad more too!
So, how do you go about measuring up for shorter coil-overs?
Speaking to a couple of traders it isn't as easy as it sounds so any advice much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi
Shock absorbers are normally specified as closed length and stroke (or sometimes open length) measured mounting centre to centre. for what you are doing you will probably wand an adjustable platform shock so you can alter ride height as you wish. You might want to consider air adjustable shocks, with the inevitably limited travel the rising rate they give would give a better ride than a spring in this situation.
