Fiesta master cylinder

Post by martnet'34 »

Hi guys hope somebody can shed some light on my problem i have fitted a brake master cylinder and servo off a '89 onward ford fiesta the type with a cast body to my '34 ford hot rod. it has 4 outlets 2 close to the servo and 2 away from the servo each of these 2 outlets have different size unions. My question is which corner of the car do each of these outlets feed is it split diagonally or front/rear?
Many thanks Martin

Depends on the master really.

But more often its a F/R split than diagnol.

If the bore size is the same, then you can split either way.

If it has a stepped bore size, then it must be F/R

There are loads of master cylinders for that Fiesta.

If you can give me an OE part number I can let you know which one you have.

Couldn't recognise the numbers you gave me. I have checked a couple of master cyl's for the fiesta Mk III and they all had straight dia cyl bores (i.e. not stepped) so i'd assume yours will be to :? , which means you should be able to split it how you want.

I'd spilt it front/rear. If you have two different sized fittings i'd keep these to the same end of the car. (e.g. 2x M10x1 to the rear and 2x M12x1 to the front.)
