Coil Overs for an SD1

Post by Andy515666 »

Hi Guys

Simple question... Has anyone heard of coil over shocks for the SD1?

Andy,

I bought a pair of S/H rear Koni "coil over" shock absorbers for my Vitesse.

I was advised they would be ideal for dealing with extra loads such as towing a caravan.

Because they are so easy to swap over, they do provide an alternate option from my regular Koni dampers and uprated springs that replaced my Nivomats.

I have not tried the "coil overs" yet but I believe that if fitted for normal driving they would provide a harder ride at the rear.

Andy,

you might find some more info on the SD1 Forum at http://julianreynolds.forumup.co.uk/

There's a TP Vitesse with Bilstein coilovers discussed there.

Cheers,

Ian
