Widebody VEight Miata 99
Hi there,
I first put a LT4 into my NB Miata and tried it on the street. Unfortunately, the mechanic made lots of MAJOR mistakes and we had to take it off the car. While we were taking it out I made this video showing the mods made and the rear wheels that are going to stay on the car;
http://www.bfamus.tv/watch.php?mdid=323 ... +ou+recule
And then, we started the body work. On it's actual state, the rear of the car will be exactly 7cm wider than the 2009 Dodge Viper !
http://www.bfamus.tv/watch.php?mdid=377 ... ing+week+3
If you guys like the style, I will keep you posted on devlopment. The new engine has just been bought. It's a LS6 commin out of a Cadillac CTS-V 2005 with a 6 speed manual transmission. Just after the body, in about 6 weeks we will drop the second V8 engine in...

Camaro SS inspiration...
Hello again,
Just came back to see my car yesterday and finally, Jim put in place my Camaro SS hood scoop. Finition is comming good too after only 4 weeks of labour...
For all of you who like styling and body work, I encourrage you to have a look at this video, it's going in detail about how it's made and where exactly is going the project. Some interesting legal aspect too;
http://www.bfamus.tv/watch.php?mdid=391 ... ght+week+4
Some also like pictures, here are some interesting pictures for you;
This one is showing this Camaro SS hood scoop. I've had one in 1997 and this is the who gave me this love of V8 unique sound and torque;
In this image we can see the aggresive look of the whole new design;
We can see here the finition made behind the rear wheels, if you look carefully, you will notice how the tires are streched-in because of the 12 inches mag wheels, still 275/35/18 on !!!
And finally a more overview image of the car;
I have some more images posted here:
http://www.bfamus.tv/watch.php?mdid=391 ... +semaine+4
Now, we still have to finish the rear carbon deflector, the front grill (still not fixed for the look, looking at the 612 Ferrari style), the sides to cover the mufflers, finition on the wheels (they were not new) and a whole lot of finition before the molds !!!
Comming soon...

Not much interests...
Here is my most recent home made video http://www.bfamus.tv/watch.php?mdid=443 ... +V8+week+6
Finally, we just finished the front bumper, the two holes will serve one for foglights and the inside one for brake breathing with a functionnal conduct.
Here, the front bumper:
Here a tails light picture:
Side covers, covering exhaust like I explained earlier (not finished yet):
And finaly, here the preview after 6 weeks of hard labors;
Seems like there is not much interest for LS6 MX-5 ???
Just surprised...
Here the first time I inserted the LT4 (replaced by LS6)

BF!!
I'm in England. But I do have friends in Montreal. I have been to Montreal to Ski every year for the last 4 years. But last year I had a big argument with my friends wife. So I no longer get my free trips to Saint Sauveur, San Jerome or Tremblant
My friend runs a small hotel in the Laurentians.
I love that area so much too...
We will never meet unfortunately, but please keep us posted of your progress.
Perry
PS
"amiante" is French for "Asbestos" which we can no nlonger use in the UK.
But I guess you mean a Fire and heat Resistant material.

Great work there
What;s you're plans for the car - only for track or is it still road legal in Canada?
I've heard they have some very difficult rules to get gars on the road over there - especially those called Kit Cars in the UK

Car plans
Hi there,
In it's actual state, the car doesn't need any mechanical inspection so it's street legal. I've respected the rules to keep it on road but actually, we never no ! I will go on track for sure but would really like to have it on the road everyday,,,
You were right also for kit cars, it's very hard here but this has been built on a Mx-5 chassis so basically, it's not a kit (even if there is not so much left of the original car )
That's it !
