Hi all, I'm based on the Wirral UK and am new to V8s.
I'm going to rebuild a Rover 3.5l unit for my next kit car project so will no doubt have many (many) stupid questions so thanks in advance for your support!

Re: Hello....from The Wirral
Welcome. The content of this forum goes back a long way (wow, just checked 2006!) so searching is a treasure trove. What kit is it?
Re: Hello....from The Wirral
Thanks Scuddefish....the current plan is a Cobra.
Was originally going to go for a short block Chevvy but perhaps common sense prevailed and I've gone for 3.5l SD1. I'm also keen to avoid an engine with an ECU. I guess that 3.5l will be slightly less thirsty than the larger US engines.
Anyway time will tell whether I've mad ethe right call!

Nowt wrong with that choice. It won't be the fastest motor, but it'll be plenty of fun.
