tvr owner from Birmingham

Post by rigga »

Found this site whilst searching for goodies so be rude not to join in really, owned my Griffith 500 for 5 years now, and don't think I'm going to getting rid of it at any point soon. Mainly standard engine wise, but has upgraded suspension and big brakes under the 17 inch wheels, cerbera seats inside with lots of shiney bits, pops and crackles lovely.

Very nice, I love TVR's (and their bits, obviously as the 5.0l is a Griffiths 500 and all my instruments are too.)
Richard.

OOH!!
Thats pretty :)

I like the look of that one. I'm not really into TVR's. But if I bought one it would have to be that shape :)

The front end looks stunning !! It has looks of E Type and Aston Martin about it.. Very nice.

Nice, I do like the Griff. I tried one when I was looking and, compared to the Chimp 500, the Griff was so much better. It revved like mad and as I was expecting the same sort of drive as the Chimp it really surprised me.

In the end I went for a Cerb 4.2 though... :)

Calm down Del ! :)

I'm not into lots of cars. Mainly because I've never had one. If I could find a scrapper TVR to rebuild and stick my drivetrain into I'd then be a TVR man and not an MG man ;)

I wish I hadnt sold my fiat 20V turbo now. That would have been a lovely project to drop my drivetrain into. I reckon I've got 2-3 years left in the MGB bodyshell now before it dissolves under me or gets twisted out of shape. Then its anybody's guess as to what I'll be a fan of?? Maybe an altered chassis with an MGB shell dropped over as opposed to a toppolino body?

I still love ya mate

You doing 10th August RWYB ?? I'm hoping to try for a 9.7 on the day once I've spent a long time fitting my new secret weapon?? BIGGER JETS !

:D
I know you didnt mean any disrespect Pel.

I am still out of work but there may be light at the end of the tunnel

Dont think i can do the 10th but am going to visit the Mopars this weekend to collect NSCC points (Somehow i am in joint first place at the moment).

As soon as i get a steady income again then its new driveshafts from Dave Mac and i desperately need a new pair of tyres. I like the MT streets. Maybe slicks would be too much for the next weakest link in my drivetrain.
Whatever gets fitted i am confident of running 10's 8-)
