"Plot" from 3.5
I finally, after 7 months, got round to taking the car back for final setup, jets and metering rods etc. and I'm very happy with the results.
The car's not running massive power, as you'd expect from a n/a 3.5, but it's pulling over 195lbft from 2,300rpm to 5,300rpm and with the rebuilt and regeared diff (full interleved LSD and CWP to 3.77:1 from 3.09:1) it's woken the car up
The "plot" shows the figures from the initial setup runs from May - Run 1 and the final setup from Dec - Run 2.
I'd be interested in your thoughts

It's a kit which from Edelbrock which contains the jets, metering rods, springs etc. for the specific model of carb so the tuner can try the various combinations. Rich, who did mine down at Motoscope went through about 3 combinations before he was happy.

Hi
It would be interesting to see what happened with a bit more exhaust duration (say 8-10 degrees) and a slightly wider LSA on the cam, say another 4 degrees, I am assuming you have tubular headers and a ballance pipe. Just I think that would give you about 300-400 more revs before the torque curve started to roll off and make it roll off more slowley, it would just widen out the power curve without loosing anything off the bottom end of the curve.
Sorry at it again with the what ifs. There really is no need it looks pretty well spot on.
Best regards
Mike

Hi Mike
It is running tubular manifolds but, at the moment, it's 4 into 1 each side with no balance pipe. I do have an X pipe to go in at some point, when I get time, and this should give a little more torque I'm hoping to have it done before a rolling road session I'm going to in April but we shall see.
