Kev!!
I've been on to top gear for over a year now. I even left a message on a TG car when I was working at the Beeb last year.
I have told them I have an MGB running a factory engine that I reckon would beat any off the shelf supercar car they might want to put on the 1/4mile against me. So far all I've had is emails saying they are looking into it??

I know this is a bit out of context but the sound of the Ultimas worth it.

I would have liked it louder!

I managed to knock a bit more off today with an 11.24 second pass.
Still having trouble, or is it fun, with the car climbing though!!
Not good for the ET, but great for the camera eh?

Well done, and a great photo.
The Front end lifting is certainly not a bad thing. When the front wheels are off the ground, all the weight of the vehicle is available for traction over the rear tyres.
The only time it does become a problem, is wen you have to lift off to regain control. If you can lift the wheels and keep your foot planted, its all good.

All you need now is to go on that diet and the drivers side wheel will also lift!
Bloody good times and photo

Ha Ha!!!
3 words Mr Anderson....Pot, Kettle, Black
Seriously though. I'm very happy with the way the old Rover has performed so far. Next stop is forged pistons I think. These stock ones are maxxed out now.
Time to raid the piggy bank eh??

Yes I agree - I could do with losing a couple of stone!
I need to get some tyres that grip like that - the GT40 just sat there spinning!

Perry,
Fantastic shot, what about putting the car on a diet as well, a bit of weight reduction could make all the difference, if you could get hold of some polycarbonate and replace the side and hatch windows that would make a big difference and a fibreglass rear hatch from Honeybourne mouldings would save a bit more plus a secial tuning type deeper front air dam to stop the air going under the car would help enormously.

Kevin.
I threw out the passengers seat (armchair) before we went Kev.
Front air dam is a good idea.
I've just ordered a set of tyre studs rom Hauser so i can screw the tyrs to the rims as well. The passeners side span 2" on the rim and the driers side moved 1/4". Which is what I expected !!
I'm still grinning

How about adjusting your corner weights to get better weight distribution?
I don't know what adjustments you have (The Gt40 is 100% adjustable at each corner)

No adjustments available until I fit ARB and coilovers. I want to be able to set the bump a lot harder on the rivers side rear.
But I need to save up for new pistons first as these stock ones are maxxed out at this power level. I can fit an extra long bump stop to the dirvers rear for the time being.

I need better suspension now chaps.
I did PB but only by a fraction, so no 10.99 as I had hoped.
Here's the reason I need new suspension now. Too much energy being wasted off the line. But the vid is cool as fook eh
