He can do it himself mate...
I'm really impressed with the structure of the thin pressed plate chassis on this little tub.
Bearing in mind that the chassis points where we mounted the trailing arms are only there to take rear braking forces ie a bit of pulling. And its been taking a shed load of pushing forces from the rear axle I'm not surprised its started to buckle. But thats what this hobby is all about eh? Race it, bend it or break it, beef it up, and race it again
I havent done any of the structural work. Jay is learning as he does it.. I just over see the initial tacking and root welding before he finishes the welds with capping runs. He has also got the hang of mig and stick welding while pulling this lot together so its been a good learning experience for him so far.
Now he will be working out how to beef up the thin chassis rails until they are strong enough ??
I'm looking forward to the day when me and Jay run side by side 10's on the strip!

I'm looking forward to when Jay is running 9's with a properly sorted ignition system and you are still running 10's with that manky distributor thingy.mgbv8 wrote: I'm looking forward to the day when me and Jay run side by side 10's on the strip!
