Supra manual boxes.

If they do a BH to fit a Chevy. It may be possible to get a Chevy to RV8 adaptor ring from D&D fabrications. I have fitted a Chevy gearbox to my RV8 using one of Marks kits.
It would mean a 12mm thick plate between BH flange and the RV8 block though. But at least you can bolt the adaptor plate onto the RV8 block, and a Chevy pattern bellhousing will bolt straight onto it. Might be worth a look.
When I fitted my TH350 autobox last year, the adaptor kit consisted of the plate to mate the box straight onto the engine, a modified Rover flex plate and ring gear, and a pilot bush to locate the torque convertor stub into the flex plate. And the bolts required.
Once the engine was on the floor, the time to actually have the gearbox fitted and ready to go was about 2 hours if that. The kit was about £220.00 + £49.00 import duty.

Hi!
I've made two drawings for adapterplates to R154 gearboxes.
One to a friend which mated a Volvo B230 Turbo to a R154 transmission and put them into an Opel Ascona A.
He has been driving 540hp 630nm with slicks several dragraces without problems!
My project is a Reliant Scimitar with a Ford Mustang 5.0 H.O V8 and R154 transmission. I bought a Lakewood steel bellhousing intended for Ford toploader gearboxes. This bellhousing is shorter than the stock T5 bh, and that gave me the needed space for an adapterplate (19mm thick). And it will also protect my legs if the clutch explodes..
Here is a picture of the Toploader/R154 adapterplate drawing:

As you can see the, boltpattern of the Supra gearbox isn't straight forward design...
We scanned the bellhousing on a big scanner, made the drawing with the scanned image as background. Measured all possible measurements with a digital caliper gauge (big one). Corrected the drawing and loaded it into a CNC mill.
A hint how to find the centre of the shaft is to look at the upper five holes in the round shape. They all have the same distance into the centre of the shaft..
Voila!

Whats yours going in? I've emailed some dude in new zealand for conversion bits to my rv8 and it comes out at £970 which includes shipping, b/housing, all clutch actuation parts and a clutch so all in all not too bad really considering what you get!
I'm just concerned about the clucking import taxes. . . . .

V8'less but a fountain of dorky knowledge ref v8's!
Gav mine's going in an Amazon estate, behind a Lexus V8. I'm hoping to be able to get an adaptor made though there is a bloke on Lextreme who's going to make them.
Other places I looked at were Castlemaine Rod Shop and Dellow, the former seemed to get better opinions if t'internet is anything to go by. I did hear of a place in NZ too.
Spittie the above places do them for SBCs.

This will work for the Supra Turbo R154 box to a Chevy bellhousing.Spittie_v8 wrote:Whodoes an adapter for the Supra box to a chevy engine?
I could possibly have my manual Camaro, the dream is still alive.
Can I get a full conversion kit?
