"View posts since last visit" problem.
Just recently after using the 'View posts since last visit' feature, and reading a new post, I can't go back to that selection to read the others. Sometimes get 'you can't do a search again this soon' (or whatever) Or just the home page and then 'no new posts' if clicking on 'View posts since last visit' again.
It used to work just fine.

I am experiencing a problem with the marking of unread posts where the section in the Index is marked with a coloured dot indicating unread posts, but once that section is opened, the posts within are not showing any threads with unread posts.
When I go online the first sections work fine, but once I have made my way down to the Engines section, the unread threads have cancelled and I am left trying to remember where I was last y post date and times.

No problems this end,
but have run the tables repair script,
see how it goes,
would be nice if we are told what browser and OP system you are using,
as it seems very hit and miss on here who has problems,
im running xp and win7 on IE8 and have no problems,

If you clear the cookies then you have to logon again and yes that will then work at that moment in time. But the problem returns very quickly so I dont think this is the problem.
It occurs on XP, Vista, Windows 7. Am sure other forums must use the same software and never had this issue anywhere else so I dont think its a user issue.

It has been fine for a few days now, and I've not changed any of my settings. Other forums I read didn't have the same problem.katanaman wrote:For those having problems try clearing your Internet history and cookies then see if your still having the issue. I am not having any problems so I think it's unlikely to be a forum fault.

In all fairness, I had not been online for a few weeks and there were a load of posts to read, so I may have gone over a time limit where it reset itself.
I know from logging on and getting sidetracked that after a certain time the board resets and all unread posts are cancelled automatically.
