Early days, but coming on slowly. these pics were taken beginning of Sept, moved on a bit since. Engine is a Bill mitchell Motown 427ci small block. Steel bottom end, Edelbrock rpm heads,& manifold. BG demon 750 carb, MSD billet dizzy & 6AL ign. Approx 500 bhp + 200 NOS. Tremec 5-speed manual box. Rear axle is westminster with 3.7 diff. MGB steering rack, westminster ( keep it in the family) front hubs & discs/calipers. Gaz adj shocks all round.
Full "stealth" mode, no holes in the bonnet, the rover wheels currently fitted are being changed for wide chrome steels that fit under original arches. Even the gearlever comes up thru' the original hole, with the standard gearlever tigged on. The exhausts will go thru' the inner wing, MG RV8 style. The speedo & rev counter are jensen that look the same as riley, but 160mph & V8 rev counter, fit in the same and only a complete anorak will spot them. Obviously traction will be useless, but once she's rolling should be pretty quick. Building it for a laugh, and 'cos I'm getting too old for banger racing. (Hurts for a week now, not a day!!) but not too old to still scare myself now and again

Kev, a lot of the southern F1 stock car boys use them, and they are knocking out the same sort of power. Plus I am only running 6" wheels/ 205 tyres so they should be the "weak link". Like I said, its only for fun, I'm not bothered about 12sec quarters etc.It will make a lovely noise, smoke 'em up on demand, and hopefully upset a few ricers and exotic sports car chappies as well.
