Single Nozzle Question
Hi guys, not posted for a while!
As I'm still inundated with work and cars, I'm thinking about buying a 350Z which have a 3.5 NA V6 (Tony is it close enough to a V8 for this question!!?!) and just shy of 300bhp.
This way I'll get a comfy RWD car which can shift too, however I have thought about an Eaton M90 blower, but thought it would be a lot easier and cheaper to plumb in nitrous, and keep it hidden (seen some really cool invisible installs).
My question- because I don't want it visible, is could I have a single fogger nozzle spray into the inlet maybe just behind the TB so it discharges evenly through the 6 runners, or would this cause problems in lag, effect, wetting the runners etc...?
I was thinking a 50-75 shot as I've seen elsewhere that timing should be ok etc...
Regards,
TC

Funny you should say that. I had the M90 on the understanding it was a M112, but it turns out it was wrongly described. Happy to swap.topcatproduction wrote:Ooh- I'll keep it in mind Elliot. I did have a M112 I was originally going to use on the mazda but sold it, probably a touch big anyway. Please let me know if you're planning on getting rid of it.
I've just done a nitrous install for a 350Z.
Forget the NOS fogger nozzle. Fit a wizards of nos crossfire nozzle in the inlet tract just before the TB. Make sure it can only activate at wide open throttle and make sure it it mounted so it sprays at around 45 degree's to the air stream.
PM me for more data Tom

A single crossifre will flow up to 150hp with no problems, and as low as 20hp with good atomisation.

Cool cheers, spraying it in back by the TB would that make the distribution ok having a long way to go to the inlet runners?
If that makes sense? Meaning I've heard that the front cylinders can suffer slightly without plenum mods.
And would 50-75 be ok on standard timing? If I had to start messing around with the ECU its kinda all or nothing, so if that was the case I could supercharge it!

Tom!
Safe rule of thumb for setting up is retard by 2 degree's per 50 shot of gas.
But this does seems to depend on initial engine displacement from my own experience. With 4.6 litres i found a sweet spot at 6 degree's of retard with a 250 shot nasp on the Rover V8.
