As Paul say's Rich.
Any pump that will deliver a constant 5-9 psi will do you for your system.
The thing is "constant pressure" from launch to the finish line....
I use a holley red pump on mine via a regulator and bypass line.
The holley pump was ok when I was running small shots. But as I upped the power I found the bigger pump did not like being dead headed via the regulator and I got fluctuations in the fuel pressure on launch as the regulator struggled to keep up.
So I fitted a small tee piece in the petrol line just before the solenoids. I fitted a 2mm carb jet in the return connection and ran this line back to my tank.
Now when I arm the nitrous fuel pump it purges the line back to the tank and still maintains a steady 6psi at idle or full throttle.

how does this pump sound, webcom in-line, pump flow 92 to 130 litres an hour, 5.5 to 9.0 psi. using 5/16" feed pipe can the return pipe be smaller.??? rich

topcatproduction wrote:Pel, would it have helped if you used a holley type regulator with 2 outlets and piped 1 back to the tank? That way when the pump is ticking but solenoid still closed it still flows to keep the pressure steady- or still no good? If sounds ok it might be a solution for you Rich!
I wondered what the second tapping on the regulator was for Tom

I used to do the same with the normal fuel feed for my carb - which ensured there was a constant supply of cool fuel to the carb.mgbv8 wrote:So I fitted a small tee piece in the petrol line just before the solenoids. .
so how can i get a return line back to tank that hasnt got a return fitting, just a breather and overflow ??? on a sd1 tank and its got fuel in and i dont want to take tank out or drill holes in it. ??? rich

can you use a RR plastic in tank pump, it has teh return and overflow pipes in the top of the pump mounting bezzel. otherwise you will have to put one into the tank, which will be tank out ane either make one up to bolt in or electric braze one in, either way you will have to empty the tank and fill it with water (even drilling into a tank with petrol vapour in is very risky

well it looks easier to fit a 2 gallon tank in for the fuel side of the nitrous instead, i better start looking for one i suppose rich like this as its the only one with a feed at the bottom. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-GALLON-ALLOY-FU ... 27a934ed4a .
