Lpg carb mixer

Do i have to buy myself a gas mixer made for my 4 barrel carb or am i better off taking the mixer from the efi and mount it between the carb and the manifold??

I would buy one. I have had no end of trouble trying to mix & match vapourisers and mixers and the attendant mixture mismatches....

and the consumption on lpg is the same on carb as on efi?

The LPG system doesn't mind whether it's fitted to a carb or EFi, it's just the part that puts the gas into the intake system that obviously has to fit. So yes the MPG will be the same for either.

However MPG will be worse than on petrol for 2 reasons:
- LPG has a lower calorific value than petrol, so less energy per unit volume
- The mechanical type LPG systems are quite crude, similar to a carb. The more expensive ones are LPG injection, and the comparison between carb and fuel injection for petrol holds true.
