injectors

Post by Kev »

I'm currently using standard green RV8 injectors which are pretty old and condition unkown, I know nothing about injectors apart from flow rate and impedance.
Cylinders 4&6 are running a touch lean, 1 is a bit rich and 7 is very rich. I assume that the injectors are goosed but don't know for certain.
Is there any advantage to buying new over having them ultrasonically cleaned.?
Is there any difference between injectors or are they all much of a muchness?

My engine is high compression 4L RV8 with standard induction but using MSnS.

cheers
Kev

Getting them cleaned and flow tested is cheaper but this might not sort them out. There is still a chance that a couple still wont work properly. You could get another set and work a deal with whoever does the work to give you the best 8 out of the 16. This will still be cheaper than buying new unless your lucky.
