Clutch release mechanism

Post by rod_922 »

I’m looking for a particular part and wondered if anyone knows where to find it..

Had a problem with the clutch release so took engine and gearbox out of car, cracked open bellhousing and found that my clutch release arm was hanging off the release bearing.

The reason was that on the end of the arm (the end with the 2 circular prongs) I only have one square nut to guide the arm onto the release bearing with. Looks like I have a missing square nut.

I have looked at getting a new arm but nobody seems to know anything about the square nuts.

The picture shows the arm and at the top of the picture is the 1 square nut I do have.

Anyone??
Thanks in advance

Perhaps its time to call Rimmers again, quoting their part number, and asking for discount as you appear to be doing their job for them. :D :D :D :D
