Flex plate identification

Post by mgbv8 »

Can anyone tell me what Rover V8 flex plate this is?
I thought I had found a spare, but the 1993 Range Rover 3.9 plate I was given is nothing like it.
Ignore the lugs that have been welded on. These are to fit my Chevy torque converter.
Cheers
Perry

Thanks Chris.
I'm wondering if it could be a Buick item?
It came from the USA. I assume the Buick 215 crank has the same flange as the Rover doesnt it? I'll look on tinterweb. Do you know any Buick sites?
The ring gear is welded on as are the lugs. But it does not seem to have been modified around the hub / flange area.

I've asked the guy in the states if he can supply me with one on its own, but he hasnt come back to me. I got it in a kit you see. I've done the template for the Rover to Chevy gearbox adaptor and I've already made the pilot bush and converter lugs. So this is the only bit holding me up. Sorry, to avoid confusion, I'm making a duplicate setup for the other conversion, which is a shoestring budget (arent they all to start with?)
Cheers
