i have a weber 500 on my 3.5 and as far as im aware this should be calibrated to run fine on a 3.5 yet mine keeps cutting out its running rich and when i put my foot down nothing really happens makes loads of induction noise but just hesitates and goes nowhere. is there anyway i can check to see if ...

yes matey its actually longer than the old one i had to chop a piece out of my leg to fit it but i dont mind, ive got a leak free rad now so well happy

youi can get a few different size sd1 radiators, the one i have replaced is aproxx 5-6 inches shorter than the one i have now which maybe the one spittie v8 has just described

my mate bought these heads there bloody heavy but just looking at them i can tell these have potential the inlet valves are huge i measured the inlet at 47mm and the exhaust i think were 36 or 38, but the ports are massive and so is the chambers, they also have cast in valve guides

VICTORY IS MINE!!!!!!! found the culprit, VASELINE!. changed the pump gears twice, oil filter housing twice, pressure relief valve twice, and nothing then my mate told me to take the oil light switch out and blow it through with an air line which i did, then i turned the pump with the drill and got ...

Have you tried spinning the pump, with the relief plunger removed...oil should fly out of it. ill try this tommorow, all ive been looking for is oil coming from the gaps on the rocker gear, when i primed the 4l engine with a drill it took seconds to prime, i ll try a different set off gears as well

yes both gears are in the pump this worked fine on the last engine all i did was swap the 4l for a 3.5 using the same timing cover

changed the 4.6 gasket for an sd1 item and it still made no difference at all, im really starting to lose my patience now as ive run out of ideas

ive just replaced the 4l rv8 from my bmw and put a 3.5 in, ive used 9.35 pistons but i was wondering if anyone had made worthwhile gains going to 10.5 cr is it worth the hassle pulling my engine out again and will it change the characteristics of the engine? ie more power less torque or vice versa w...

i dont have a remote oil filter its all sd1, i packed the pump twice with vaseline and primed for ever the drill was starting to freeze cos it was running for so long
