Mike, I have had another look at the Ebay T5 box photos, it looks like it has no circlip holding the rubber on the gear lever ? did you notice what year yours was made ? there is a number in the centre of a small round moulding on the gearbox that tells the year. they are all over the gearbox tellin...

Well its probably the ATF that killed the T5 anyway. ( well known fact for T5 and Type 9 gearboxes and even the LT77). 75W90 is way better for a T5 gearbox. Not in this case, the lack of ANY lubrication killed it, the only damage was to the end of the main shaft where the needle rollers of the firs...

Now I need a new T5 gearbox, the one I am going for is the aftermarket Ford Mustang box 1352-000-251.
I have found them for sale at Realsteel, RPI, V8 Tuner and Roadcraft, the latter the cheapest.
Any other suppliers out there in the UK ?
