It is ment to be the correct coil for the car dave mate or so the suppliers have told me. It is ment to be a Bosch coil that the part numbers go to. I have been looking at the msd blaster 2 coil thinking that this might be okay and deliver higher voltages. But the main problem that I have is the qua...

Hello Ramon it is some thing along those lines. I have decided that after looking at various alternative ignition systems. I have decided that they are just too expensive a option. So I am thinking off upgrading the coil to a msd mega blaster 2 coil and replace the ignition amp with a genuine item f...

I'f the plugs are wet it could be a ignition module failing maybe. Or to rule out the bypass screw being too far in adjust the throttle cable to hold the throttle a little so the butterfly is held open if that happens then I would be looking at base idle settings first as if there is very little air...

No problems starting mine from cold always starts and the running wise it's alright. Mind you though I did spend about an hour gaping every electrode to manufacture specs for the engine. The Ngk plugs at one point was only lasting around about 2 thousand miles before I was getting a miss fire. Chang...

I can agree with you there on the mallory systems and the after market edis kits seem to be very very expensive just to produce a spark. The rpi amp seems to be a good upgrade. With the ignition system on mine I just think that it wants a right good overhaul with new upgraded components. I am not bo...

Hello sidecar no the ignition system is a seperate system. I have looked at the mega squirt and mega jolt systems. But I can't justify the money that they are asking for the complete kits to fit on. The Lucas black box is rubbish in all honesty I am looking for a more reliable amp to fit on to it. H...

Check the spark isn't weak when you start the motor up mate sounds like its the symptoms off the ignition module failing. Also if you have played around with the air bypass screw then you would need to reset it properly using blanks on the manifold make sure that no air is getting into the engine vi...

Hello sidecar I have one problem with Malory systems is that mine is the efi system fitted to mine and I can't find anything for the efi system. I'm thinking along the lines off reliability more then Lucas amps as they seem to last a year and then start giving me problems with the ignition. In a lit...

The plate that holds the module the coil mounting bracket the panel it mounts to loads off heat compound between the two surfaces. Tell you what I have found Dennis is two links from the coil to the rest off the car only one s...

The rpi power amps would any one recommend one of them I am considering the upgrade as the ignition modules are not lasting the course cheap nasty manufacturing process and just a little bit of heat seems to cause it to break down even though it has been moved to down by the head light panel to keep...

I thought that too mate but the problem isn't fuel it's defo on the ignition side off the motor. I have stood cranked the car and I can watch the spark from no spark to very weak spark to a stronger spark switch off crank again and I can watch the spark stright away strong engine runs. What I am thi...
