The hoses were all large enough, just the fittings themselves dropped the bore down.[/quote] There are quite a lot of fittings that look the same but don't do the same job, fast flow/forged made of one piece all to help the process of flow, plumbing by trade I realise flow restrictions on certain fi...

Decided to modify the oil supplies as I didn't want to go the banjo route as I wanted to have no restrictions on the flow, ended cutting an inch off the return and welding a AN1O on which now I have plenty of room for oil pipes/fittings http://i1346.photobucket.com/albums/p697/bish_bosh1/front%20cov...

Hi, If you just want to run with no cooler on a serp cover, then just plug the cooler ports, m18 or m20, can't remember which as I sit here but can be got from hydraulic shops. When you fit the cooler, the fittings have a special set of ends with internal o-rings that block and expose the right oil...

The engineering company thought that 30thou had to come off ,No 6 took a hell of a bashing, price of work 420 quid, they were going to chuck 50 quid of bearings in, ummm got another crank in the same day for 90 quid, going to get polished/checked so hopefully we can move on.... http://i1346.photobuck...

Rimmer Bros still list both full circle "Cam Retaining Collar" ERR5926 And the part circle type "Camshaft Thrust Plate" ERR2609 I don't know if they still stock them, but I'd assume so... FWIW, I'm running the same gear as Sidecarbod, and countersunk the bolts (I also made my own plate, because I'm...

As I said earlier - you have taken them down to the backing - not only that but you have have spun them and hammered the feck out of it. I suggest you have someone who knows what they are looking at re-check it all as the rod(s) and the journal(S) may well be fooked.[ I build them to get hammered, t...

Amazing wear on bearing
Looks like nobody noticed what's happened even me, look at No 6 bearing its grown in size compared to the standard bearing, has the low oil pressure caused this to slip, strip the copper to the steel backplate and then compress it to make the bearing wider, obviously this is where the noise came from...

http://i1346.photobucket.com/albums/p697/bish_bosh1/DSC03096_zps5mnstyml.jpg Must agree that there seems to be more swarf in there than just two failed big end shells. Have you checked the cam bearings? finally somebody whos thinking the same as me, bearing 3-4 look worn but there no where near the...
