Re: Rv8 oil leak problems
I've always tried to make the sump gasket a 2 day job, fit a new gasket with a smear of RTV both sides and fit it with the screws finger tight, following day or overnight nip them up to desired torque, I've done loads of engines this way

Re: 3.9 v8 exhaust options
I run the stock sd1 exhaust manifold, downpipes and Y piece on mine, welded on a 2" connector and a single jetex mid size box and straight out the back on the pop, sounded just right to me

HP Tuners for £300 as it only had 2 credits left, so all in with some more exhaust bits it came to under £2500 total c...

Re: sd 1 engine
I had the same set up in my pop, I went for the 3.9 engine and a crane camshaft and Rhodes lifters to give more torque rather than bhp, I also swapped the gearbox for the 4 speed zf4hp22 and lowered the rear axle gearing to suit, regularly returned 25 to the gallon with a teardrop on the back

Re: Lambda LSU4.2 or 4.9?
I'm running a mtxl with no issues at all, I've run it for 200+ miles not connected, hooked up all the gear at santa pod and logged all the data I need and disconnected it, the Sensor lives in the pipe all the time, I wonder if installation close to the exhaust manifold helps keep the moisture of it ...
