Hi, If you pop down to your local hydraulic/pneu fitting shop and find a male 6mm hosetail to 1/4 steel standpipe fitting and unscrew the outer
hex, the inner thread will fit the fuel rail.
I did exactly that when fitting my 4.2

Hi, if you connect the outlet and inlet ports together then you need to make sure that you have the right sort of fitting on the outlet, it has an internal sleeve and an o-ring to direct the oil up the pipe, otherwise it just circulates within the housing. Altho this should still flow round the motor.

Thats it! I have got the factory cooler pipes so I guess it would be possible to knock up something that would do the same job if anybody needs the dimensions and a photo or 2.

The act of fitting the factory cooler hoses closes off the internal oilway and flows the oil round the cooler. The fittings on crank driven pumps are either m18 0r m20 depending on the type interim or gems, and if you are just wanting to blank off the cooler then just plugging the holes will be fine.
