Valve guides for a 5/16 stem?

Im trying to fit a set of big big valves to my rover heads, trouble is they're on a 5/16" stem rather than the 11/32 and im having a hell of a job finding suitable guides. Anyone know of anything the right size, .595" ish od and 5/16 id?

Cheers

A poor stage 1 at best. They look like someone has spent all of 5 minutes pissing about with a cartridge roll not really knowing what they are doing, and evidently couldn't be arsed to remove the guides to do the porting or cut the spring seats. "5 angle seat" shouts of marketing bollocks, i've neve...

I've seen the Birmal casting mark on both early and later (slightly) bigger valve heads but from the looks of those valve caps you've got a set of early small valve P6 heads there. To double check, measure the valve spring diameter, if they're 1.3" you've got early small valve heads, if 1.225-1.25" ...

Rover lifters are .842" diameter, same as many Chevy, Olds & Pontiac engines. Just need to make sure the pushrod cup is the correct diameter for you pushrods. Real Steel should have something that fits.

If we're talking about the stock green band injectors, they're 230cc/min.

They can flow enough for about 270bhp on a sensible 80% duty cycle & about 320bhp running them flat out (all figures @ 3bar)

You can of course turn the fuel pressure up as well, they seem to work fine at 3.5 bar.

Most of them are too small/don't flow enough for a reasonable bhp RV8. I borrowed a mates venom and stuck it on my ~250bhp 3.9 and there was a definate power loss and you could see the restriction in the map sensor readings on the megasquirt datalogs. I ended up making a diy version using a jetex ai...

Is the stock EFI manifold restrictive?

I've noticed there are a few companies selling EFI manifolds bored to 45mm and ported, just wondering if there are any gains to be had from these over a standard 38mm manifold that's had a touch of porting at the head end. My spec is 3.9, 10:1 CR, crower 50233, stg3 heads, 71mm plenum - around about...

I had something that sounded similar when i had 4 or so broken inner valve springs on my double valve spring setup. The lifters on the affected cylinders were pumping up when revved, which gave that sort of odd sound on tickover for a brief second until the lifters bled back down again.

When i bled mine out completely to sort the preload it took a fair while for them to fully pump up, in the order of a few minutes, which feels like a lifetime when all that clattering is going on!

FWIW i didn't have any problems with megasquirt, and i built the ECU, constructed the loom from scratch and tuned it from a blank map. The only thing that gave me any trouble was the crappy Intake Air Temp corrections in the earlier firmware (but that has been fixed in the latest version) I actually...
