And mini ones, probably why I didn't think anything of it! Much better IMO, so easy to adjust like that than using adjustable pushrods.

Rods'n'Sods, it was a guy near Birmingham who had lifted it out of the original car, he was renovating it for weddings and replacing the 8 pot with a Jag straight 6 for reliability, makes sense! These are the only 2 pics I had showing the engine in the car: http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/pp272/t...

I've seen that Landy before but never really liked it, it does just look like a landy body on a car. I appreciate all the work that has gone into it and the attention to detail, but to me it doesn't look right being slammed with road tyres and RWD, which is exactly why I'm sticking with 4WD and nobb...

The Relic

So- following a bit of guessing, I've decided to create a build thread and put a couple of you our of your misery! Tony, I'm hoping you aren't upset enough to delete this thread, as it's not a V8... but a straight 8, but given it has a longer history and twice as many spark plugs as you lot I'm hopi...

I thought this was a big problem where it was out by a whole belt thickness or something! I reckon a belt could run 5mm out on a RV8 without any damage!! (I'm not saying it should of course!) Shimming by eye is what I have done in the past as well.

It must be reasonably easy to make up a small board to signal 2 coil packs instead of one, at the moment I'm really leaning towards Nodiz because it looks so simple to use and tidy install. It would be nice to figure out a way of making the dissy look like it is being used, but HT leads are very obv...

Nope! A guy in the US got back to me after measuring a BB Chrysler rocker and the long arm is 1.5" so considerably too short. I think I'll use the originals and machine some from ally or steel, can't see it being too hard? A stout little bearing for the tip, bronze bush or needle roller on the shaft...

Morning, Stevie it is a single dissy: http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/pp272/topcatproduction/IMG_0007-1.jpg Dave the heat would not be a problem, but want leads. I'd love to keep the dissy as it looks awesome, but I do not have a drive gear for it, and I don't trust it to give a good spark. Rotor...

Top secret! They are pretty big, the ones fitted don't actually look too bad in fairness, maybe they will survive until I can get some made up. Could actually be fairly easy to make some billet aluminium ones on the mill with a roller bearing at the tip, if I got some good ally!

I've actually been thinking about trying another option called Nodiz (http://www.nodiz.co.uk/) which has been talked about on other forums. The guy over there who created it reckons it should be able to drive 2 coil packs in parallel. I really like the look of the system as it is dead simple, no EDI...

Help needed with finding a set of rocker arms!!

Hi all, I've been searching in vain with no luck, I need a set of shaft mounted rocker arms. I have done a basic sketch below, the ratio I think is 1.6, but the dimensions are most important, i.e. length of the rockers. So far I have looked at big block Chrysler and Mopar ones as they are shaft moun...

Going to stick to spark for now, keeping costs down too, though the EDIS 8 modules may be hard to pick up.
