Hi..

Simple Rover v8 question, is there any lubrication performance/difference in older vs new one rocker covers. I just notice that new one has got some "splash" plate? :?:

No 'lubrication' difference between the two types.

Later 'squared off' covers have slightly more room inside for performance rocker gear.

Splash difference is that the old 'rounded' covers have the splash plates mounted on top of the rocker pillars. As you note, the later ones have it screwed to the underside of the covers.

Oh, i see.. Thanks..

Some question more. Is it possible use older type rocker covers and roller rocker, if i but an adapter plate to make more clearance?
And some question of this older type splash plate. Is it nessesary? And can i use this older splash plate and roller rockers?

My friend give me 2 older type rocker covers without those splash plate. I must to ask him those plates..

Any pick of those plates?

you could always make some from an old metal oil can and some tin snips, they are only to stop the oil splashing up into the breather and filler cap openings in the top of the rocker cover after all.
