I would say No, its a different shell.

for the Mk2 Capri shell there are 2 windscreens - measure directly up the middle bottom to top, theres about 10mm (53mm / 52.2mm) of a difference in height.
the larger (53mm) screen fits the mk1.. did this mod to my 74 GXL in 1984, the corresponding seal must be used..
difference is - Mk1s had the chrome insert as did the Mk2s, early Mk3s (sorry Mk2 1978 facelifts) had solid rubber no insert.. thats the one you want !!

Larger screen is up to 1981 - then change to smaller screen, seems to correspond with 'Laser' intruduction !!
Also note - laminated screens are thicker than toughened, there is corresponding rubbers to fit - make sure you get the right one !!!
