I've put this on another forum but thought I'd get a better response on here.
I'm soon changing the engine in my 90, I'm putting a recon 4.0 p38 engine in it and using an early serpentine front end to run a dizzy. So I'll need to replace the camshaft for one with a dizzy drive on it, question is do I go with a slighty more torquey cam or just stick with a standard. The rest of the engine will be standard, at least for the time being with possibly the exception of a Holley/webber carb and manifold. 
Also any opinions on lightened/balanced flywheels? I'm sure I read that a lightened flywheel is only good for "power" for a quicker response, whereas the heavier normal flywheel helps when offroad?? Can't remember if I read it correct though?

I found a TorqueMax cam from RPi (which I think is a Piper cam) to be pretty good in my SWB 4.6 V8 Auto.

Torquemax is ok but will run out of puff after 4000rpm......the JE101 is an amazing cam in a heavy land rover

do you do much off roading?

Yes it gets used off road, but also for towing a heavy trailer too, but saying that I don't want to do anything to increase power that has a negative effect on the way/engine speed is delivered, if that makes sense.

You could try a Lund cam

Real Steel Viper Hurricane cam, std lifters, twin SU carbs with BAC needles and keep the std airbox! (Holley and Webber not so good off-road as SU's, and a pair of std carbs will flow enough air for 230bhp!!!)
Good torque delivery from 1300 rpm, power really kicks in at 3500rpm if you want to go playing, and economy is also good if driven sensibly.

I want to put the su's on but I've had nothing but trouble with the ones on it now, as it runs mostly on gas, as soon as you switch to petrol it overfuels it, have to pump fuel through and leave it overnight for it to run right! Don't want the same again!
