Hi all,

I recenty bought a box(s) of bits which having had a reliner and loads of other work done to it I am putting back together.

Prob I have is the rocker shafts and arms, which being an ex race engine are show wear when you pull the springs away and look at the shafts.

I have beeen warned off by several peeps to aviod the pattern bit out there mostly china and they are not good, JED is having probs getting stock, and LR want a stunning £270+Vat per side for new genuine

At the moment this engine doe use std genuine, so, rather than spend a fortune on the LR stuff, what other qulaity units could I consider and from where ?

It also has std followers and std pushrods, I really don't want to get into adjustable pushrods etc, it went like stick on all std drive train since built in 2004, so I am happy if only they weren't £500 a pair :(

Very graetful for any ideas ? and or links ?

Nige

Have a word with either V8tuner or JRV8. If they have stock it will be good stuff.

I'm pretty sure Real steel still sell rockers at about 6 quid each and about 25 per shaft.

There is always Rimmer Bros. Or do what I did and track down some steel rockers (I think they originate from a Volvo engine?) and buy a couple of new shafts. The steel rockers last well and mine fitted perfectly.
