Throttle Position Sensors

Are they the same on the hotwire system as the flapper one?
Mine's not giving very good readings on my flapper type one when I'm trying to set it up and wondered if they were the same?

no they are different mate
both have different ends that fit the plenum shaft

I dont know if it would work on an 86 lpg Rangie but it works on an 86 SD1.
