I am fitting a Piper 270 cam in my 3.9.The duplex timing chain sprocket has multiple keyways ranging from +6 to -6.Which position would be best?I will be fitting stage 3 heads and it is going in a Westfield seight. Thanks Nick

There is no answer to this, you need to time your cam to find out for yourself as it changes between engines. If you don't want to time it then put it in the middle key which should be zero and if nothing else safe. IMHO if you have spent the money on big valve heads then you really need to take the time and do it properly but that's up to you.

If you want a PDF that explains how to time a cam then drop me a pm with an email address to send it to.

if its on the wrong way, you wont see the vernier or dot markings.
