Just bought some rocker covers off a p6 rover the round ended ones how do i connect them up so the engine breathes properly as i have read if they aren't fitted correctly they will cause all sorts of problems I have the sd1 covers fitted at present the car has a edelbrock carb with matching inlet manifold

I have no experience with edelbrock manifolds and carburettors, so I cannot help regarding breather locations.
What I can say however is if you change the rocker covers, from SD1 to P6, you will also need to fit oil anti splash baffle plates to your rocker shafts. The SD1 heads have these built into the rocker covers, the P6 rocker covers do not.

I've got chromed P6B covers on my Buick 300 heads with and Edelbrock. No baffle plates fitted to the YT rockers, although there is restrictor grub screws n the oil feeds to these.
I put a K&N type mini breather on tne RH (drivers side) cover. On the LH I fitted a generic PCV valve and plumed a short hose from that into the front of the Edelbrock.
Works fine.
