Hi all,

Can someone tell me what oil I should be using for the Capri LSD diff? All I'm getting from most sites is 'refer to main dealer' not very helpful!

Many Thanks
Kev!

This is probably little more helpfull than the other answer you are already getting, but I would use Hypoid 90 diferential oil (non synthetic) , avoid anything fancy as those clutches will have been designed to work with what was available when the axel was made, I would avoid 80 weight unless it is very cold as the clutches will be dumping heat into the oil over every bump and turn.
Best regards
Mike

Hi Kev
I am running an LSD in my Cavalier and was told that I should use the correct oil otherwise it could cause problems.
Bardahl produce an LSD oil but you could always try a gearbox/transmission specialist for the right stuff.

Castrol used to sell EXP90, which has extra addative to prevent oil breakdown in shear conditions, Ive been using the stuff in my LSD for years,
IIRC Ford used to sell a bag of powder to add to normal EP90 for capri LSDs
