Hi All,
I recall suggestions being made that the best way to find inlet leaks is with WD40.

Is that right?, is it as simple as spraying it along the various interfaces and listening for engine note change? Doesn't it make a right old mess?

Its WD40 that I use, maybe not the cleanest solution but it works well, it isnt a major mess either mind you as its not like you need to put loads on. Others use stuff like easy start but I really don't like that idea as its highly explosive and the slightest short from an HT lead could have it going up in your face.

Just spray it along the joints and you will hear the engine note change if there is a leak.
