3.9 EFi Wiring Help Needed Please

Hi,
Im doing an EFi conversion on a Landrover Wolf for a friend, and having a bit of trouble with the wiring. The engine and loom came from a 1993 Rangerover.

I have got 12v at pins2, 15 & 19
Earth at pins 4, 14, 27 & 40

The Ignition system is on and have a spark, the ECU is conected to the coil.
But It still wont fire the injectors. Al fuses have been checked, and been going over wiring for ages.
Is there something ive missed, or something else I could have overlooked?

The engine and running gear are standard, and its running a manual box.

Thank you

It sounds like we have a similar issue at the moment, do your injectors fire at all? Mine give a little squirt at initial cranks but stop as the engine turns over.

Is your loom from an auto? if it is the black/orange wire from the harness needs to be grounded via a 510ohm resister in order to bi-pass the neutral safety switch (essentially allowing the engine to start when the transmission is not in park or neutral since you are running a manual box)

I dont seem to be getting any injection at all.

Is it black/orange, or brown/orange?
I have a brown/orange, but it goes to a blank space in the conector, so wasnt used on the Rangerover.
The doner rover was an auto.

Brown/Orange
will need earthing via a 510ohm resisstor.

Mine is black/orange, But my donor range rover is from Canada so it may be different.

Just out of curiosity thev8kid, what will happen (or not happen) if this wire is not grounded?

im not sure,
i think the engine wont idle without it grounded,
i heard that it would just keep stalling,
never tried it myself i grounded it as advised it even says to ground in the manual i think .

Ok I shall get on that, but that cant be whats stopping it from running?

What would be stopping it from injecting?
Im getting spark, got all conections on, but still nothing. I know it runs because I drove the doner vehicle.

check every thing again mate, make sure fuel lines correct way round,
make sure relays in correct holders, and that none of the terminals have pushed out the bottom, (had that on mine), ran fine took relays out for a number that was on them put them back in and would not run,
one of the tabs broke and the terminal for one of the relay pins pushed out and was not making contact.
then general check ign, power etc make sure the ecu is getting power while turning over etc,
where abouts are you???

You cant get the fuel lines the wrong way round, feed is a threaded union, and the return is a push fit hose.

The relays were left in their sockets from the running vehicle, and the loom is just rested on the engine. while we get it to run.

I will go over the conections again, and check for feeds while cranking aswell.

Im in Worthing, Sussex, and the Landrover is at the Workshop in Steyning.

Seems like its going to be something stupid.
