Hi I would like to spruce up my tired looking engine bay and wondered if anyone has a list of sizes for hose lengths and internal diameters for an SD1 Vitesse or even better knows where i could buy a set from, thanks

Got to say that does look nice and shiny, but are you saying that you made them shiny or you bought them shiny ?

thing is i run the car everyday so i cant just take the pipes off and take them with me to the shop where they say they will match them... especially as the shop is 50 miles away !

I see all these nice engine bays but still cant seem to get hold of the pipes myself and got to say find it strange that places like Rimmer, V8 Dev and Roverpart dont do them

had a quick look round, basically its trim shine silicone stuff, i saw a silver vitesse on my way home from work the other morning so just wondered :) . Halfords should do the spray for shiney rubber. I put shiney rubber spray in the search and all strange sites came up, how the women got into them suits i will never know :D. if you want blue ones though its samco that do them :) rich

Thanks for that Rich,
I will steer clear of the .shiny rubber web sites ! and just go to Halfords me thinks

I tried Samco before but they want my pipes to match up and like I said the car is in use everyday so I cant really take them all off .

Every month since 1993, sprayed the whole engine and all rubber pipes with WD40. (I bought a discounted 5 litre can for a few squid at Maccess, Watford, ten years ago, last me 'til I pop clogs!)

Wipe off and allow to dry. Spray just pipes, Take photo! Smoke and Mirrors!
Seemples!

They are all original pipes except top rad hose, flayed by croaked A/C belt and the cross engine breather hose, which split.

Ged says Rimmers do full hose sets now. Then just treat 'em right! 8)

Dear Mr Dog
Whilst at Halfords get yourself some Amour all cockpit shine.
The stuff sprays on and you leave it a minute and then buff it up.
Not super shiney but a nice satin shine and it lasts for ages.
Use it on your tyres too.
cheers
Paul
